I created this logo for a client who makes handmade, wooden accessories for various card games and collectables. We talked about what the client wanted and I was given a few examples of logos he liked. The main constraint of the logo was that it would have to be able to be burned into wood.
I sketched a few ideas and showed them to the client, who expressed interest in the images of an asymmetrical tree. I created the vector art for the logo and played around with some geometric designs, but we ultimately settled on a more natural-looking tree.
Finding the correct font also took several iterations. The client wanted a handwritten style and I ultimately created one by hand.
